March Favourites #3

Welcome to my 2019 Favourites! This is where I describe how my month went, kind of like how I did with my #ClaireNotes series in 2017, but with more general things that you may know about! I hope you enjoy! Let me know what your favourites from this month were in the comments! For last year’s favourites, click here.

I may have done a review for the following item back in November, but I have been using it daily since and my face has never felt purer and softer! The steps are super simple and short compared to the long-lasting effects it has.

I have been wearing these jeans a lot this past month. You can pair them up with just about any top and pair of shoes. I got them from Primark when I was in Amsterdam.

The synopsis: Dee Dee Blanchard is overprotective of her daughter, Gypsy, who is trying to escape the toxic relationship she has with her mother. Gypsy’s quest for independence opens up a Pandora’s box of secrets, which ultimately leads to murder. The stranger-than-fiction true-crime series is based on a 2016 BuzzFeed article that detailed the shocking 2015 crime.

I have followed this case while it was happening and saw several true crime videos/documentaries about this and my heart truly breaks for Gypsy and anyone who was bitten in the ass by Dee Dee.

The synopsis: Captain Marvel is an extraterrestrial Kree warrior who finds herself caught in the middle of an intergalactic battle between her people and the Skrulls. Living on Earth in 1995, she keeps having recurring memories of another life as U.S. Air Force pilot Carol Danvers. With help from Nick Fury, Captain Marvel tries to uncover the secrets of her past while harnessing her special superpowers to end the war with the evil Skrulls.

Without a doubt the most anticipated movie of 2019 alongside Avengers: Endgame (which will probably be my favourite movie in April /wink wink), and close to becoming my favourite MCU movie ever.

The synopsis: The misfits of Mötley Crüe rise from the streets of Hollywood to the heights of international fame in the 1980s.

I have been a fan of Motley Crue since I was 11 or 12. The first song I heard by them is Smoking in the Boys’ Room and I never looked back. A very fun, loud and super glam quartet. The bonus for the movie is the perfect casting: Iwan Rheon as Mick, and Colson Baker (aka Machine Gun Kelly) as my favourite member Tommy Lee?! Sign me up!!

This band has summer vibes for miles with their tunes. I have been listening to them since early 2018, and every time I listen to their music in my car, I cannot help but wish I could roll my windows down, put on my sunglasses and let my hair fly with the wind.

My favourite song by them is their most recent single, Scrawny.

(And yes, that’s Dylan Minnette from Thirteen Reason Why… he’s one of the vocalists of the band!)
