#MusicMonday: Frank Ocean ‘Channel Orange’

Happy Monday everybody and thanks for stopping by my blog again 🙂 As I said in my 2019 Plans post, I have been planning a new series for this year, which I will call #MusicMondays. I have recently bought the 100 Albums Bucket List Scratch-Off Poster from Amazon and thought why not review all the albums from the poster on a random Monday?! Click here to see all #MusicMonday posts.

So let’s see what we got this week…

My opinion

Despite having heard of Frank Ocean several years ago, I never listened to any of his music. So I took this opportunity to give the album a careful listen. Upon first listen, I was captivated by his smooth RnB vibe, especially the second track Thinkin Bout You, which is the most popular song on his Spotify page. My favourite track from the whole album was Monks.

Throughout the album, there were short songs which were a minute long or less. They were mostly instrumentals, and my favourite from these was White, which featured John Mayer on guitar.

I would definitely listen to this album again and would play this in the background as I’m working on my blog or assignments.
