Beauty Products I LOVED in 2018!

As the title says, I will be showing you all some of the products I have used in 2018 which I absolutely LOVED. I already did one for 2017, so if you want to read that, click here! 2018 was my year for beauty and caring for my skin and the results truly show, because my breakouts were kept to a minimum as opposed to the previous years, and I used various skin products to help, which I will be listing below…

Seaweed Oil-Control Overnight Gel from The Body Shop

It wasn’t the best-smelling product, but the effects it left on my face were noticeable. 1-2 pumps on the hand every night before bed really helped my face to remain dehydrated and fresh-looking overnight.

Rose Jam Shower Gel from Lush

I got this product as a gift from my mother-in-law when she went to Rome, and I was so obsessed with the smell that I made my mother buy the exact same thing when she travelled to Scotland and Liverpool! I also got other products with different smells, but this one particular product has been my favourite so far. Definitely buying again in the future!

Amika Triple Rx Shampoo by Amika

I got this as a sample with a subscription box. The shampoo had something that made my air suuuper silky smooth and straight. Will definitely buy something similar in the future!

MicellAIR Skin Breathe Micellar Water by Nivea

Micellar water is known to be very good for the skin, especially for acne-prone and dry skin. This was my first time trying out micellar water and I regret not starting it earlier, because my skin never felt cleaner and softer.

Tea Tree Targeted Gel from The Body Shop

It’s not only in my favourites because it worked like a charm, but also because I used this product THREE times, and am going through my fourth as we speak. What it does is dry up the affected area and it disappears within a few days, like magic!

Skin Naturals Micellar Cleansing Water by Garnier

As if the first product containing micellar water wasn’t enough; I just had to try out a different brand. Nothing different, really. Same positive effects as the one before, however, this one left my face fresher.

Really Rather Radiant Colour & Shine Conditioner by Percy & Reed

I got this sample with a magazine I bought from England. I never saw this brand before anywhere, and my country doesn’t sell it (that I’m aware of anyway), and I will definitely buy more if the item were in stock, because it left my hair feeling smooth and silky!

Dry Shampoo with Oat Milk Mini by Klorane

I got this with a subscription box as well. It was a scent- and cruelty-free product, which was two big fat bonuses for me. I was never too big on dry shampoos because they left a sort of white flakes all over my scalp, but not this one!

Day 2 Night Mascara by Rimmel

The absolute best 2 in 1 mascara I’ve ever tried. I usually use the thinner one for daytime and the other end for night time – hence the name day 2 night I guess? But anyways, I’m definitely buying this mascara again after I finish the precious, oh-so-designer Marc Jacobs mascara I’m currently using.

Vitamin C Concentrated Serum by Derma.e

Yet another subscription box sample, this Vitamin-C serum not only smelled very nice, but it also left my face soft and fresh.

(P. S. I know I’ve said this about almost all of my products, but it’s true: they do leave my face soft and fresh-looking!)

RHA™ SERUM by Teoxane

I tried this product after attending my first (and last) beauty event, and it was part of a goodie bag. It was obviously a sample-sized packaging so I ran out of it in less than a week. It was an okay product, neither good nor bad, and I think this could be because I didn’t use the product for a longer amount of time.

ADVANCED FILLER DRY SKIN Derma-Restructuring Anti-Wrinkle Cream by Teoxane

A sample-sized freebie which I got along the previous product. I didn’t use this for wrinkles, but rather to hide pimples and dark marks on my face (because it was like a concealer). At the end of the day, the concealer is still there but the spots miraculously disappeared… does this happen often with anti-wrinkle creams?! Because I found it bewildering.

Hydrating Mist with Hyaluronic Acid by Derma.e

Yet another sub box item. This hydrating mist was a life-saver during hot, summer days. With the heat, my face looked drained and dehydrated, and this hydrated and restored my skin with a few sprays! 10/10 buying again for summer 2019!

Green Apple Peel Full Strength by Juice Beauty

I was expecting more of an actual peel-off mask from this product, but it nonetheless made my skin very smooth (and smell like green apples too!). Item part of a subscription box.

Lavender Ultra-Moisturising Hand Therapy by Crabtree & Evelyn

I have used Crabtree and Evelyn products before, so it’s no surprise that I also enjoyed this hand cream which I got with a sub box. Brownie points for leaving my hands soft in the rough, winter days!

Travel-Sized Ceramic Slip Clay Cleanser by Sunday Riley

The last sub box item on the list, this cleanser was nothing like I expected. When I saw the word ‘clay’ on the tube, I thought it would be grey in colour, and it would harden on the face and then you sort of crack it off of your face. It wasn’t, it was a normal cleanser. Slightly disappointed about that fact, but other than that, it worked like a charm.

Stay Matte Pressed Power #004 – Sandstorm by Rimmel London

This has got to be the ultimate favourite powder I’ve ever tried. I was so sad it finished, but the one I am currently using by Golden Rose is actually not that bad as well, so stay tuned for a review about that at the end of the year.

Tea Tree Skin Clearing Facial Wipes from The Body Shop

I am obsessed with cleansing wipes as opposed to ordinary cleansers, and this was my first time trying out Body Shop ones, and not one regret in the world! Tea tree’s the first type I’ve used by them, but I don’t think I will change any time soon.

Purrfect Skin Hand Mask by Holler and Glow

I couldn’t find the product anywhere online, so I will just link a review someone did, which you can read here. My experience with this mask was… interesting. Very interesting.

Clear Skin Oil Balancing Cleansing Wipes by Simple

Simple’s the best brand for facial wipes, period. Probably the brand that has my face most flawless, especially when I have my pimple outbursts close to my time of the month.

Pure & Natural Refreshing Cleansing Wipes by Nivea

I have used this brand time and time again. This year, I used these wipes three times. They’re more convenient to buy than Simple brands as I don’t find them from everywhere, which is a bummer but oh well. These did the charm.

Spotless Quick Fix Cleansing Wipes by Simple

I used this once in 2017, upped the amount to three in 2018 because it works so well. I usually apply it before work or before I go to bed for its ‘quick fix’ effect, which works very well and I recommend it for people who get random pimples in random places on the face.
