2018 in Music

With the end of this year and the start of the next closer than you think – 24 days!!! – I thought I would share how my year has been but through music. To listen to music, I use the Spotify app both on my phone and laptop, and last year, I decided to upgrade to Premium so I can skip songs whenever I want and listen to music offline without adverts.

I can’t help but smile. The song is from Miley’s heyday, where we thought she was “rebelling2 against Disney. This, of course, was ages before her Bangerz era. I have no clue what I was doing listening to this song, it was probably from a Disney throwback playlist.

I have no idea where I discovered Jidenna, and nor do I recall any songs of his.

That’s just over 23 days worth of music. Which is a lot, considering I only listen to music while I’m driving and before I go to bed. This is a few hours less than last year, so safe to say I’m still the same music maniac I was before!

This was me preparing for the Muse concert screening. Lowkey disappointed it wasn’t Queen, but Muse is great too!

In my opinion, Side Effects by The Chainsmokers featuring Emily Warren is the song of the summer. I spent days upon days listening to just that song, which is why it’s at the top of the list.

I honestly thought it would have been a song by The Beatles. But The Beach Boys are great too! Love their summery vibes their songs have!

Here are my top 100 songs from 2018…

All these songs helped shape my year in the best way. There is a lot of reminiscing of the past, tributes to dead artists I admire, cheesiness and new music released in the last year.

How was YOUR year in music? Let me know in the comments! I would really love to hear about your stats XOXO
