Introducing another one of my new series for 2018: monthly favourites! This is where I describe how my month went, kind of like how I did with my #ClaireNotes last year, but with more general things that you may know about! I hope you enjoy! Let me know what your favourites from May were!
If you’re looking for an actual quick fix for spotless skin, then look no further! These Simple cleansing wipes have done wonders to me the first time, but did not hesitate the second time round!
I don’t have an actual picture of this denim jacket that I’ve worn day in day out (we still had some breezy days this May in Malta!). It’s from Topshop and it had a slight tone of pink to it, like tie dye but super faint.
I am rewatching the 90s classic Beverly Hills 90210. I used to watch the Italian dub with my mum when I was little. I remember it used to air at around 11am right before 7th Heaven. Plus Luke Perry starring as a major daddy in Riverdale also played a part in my reason to watch!
It was quite underwhelming considering the hype it had when announced, but I liked the SFX and use of light and dark in the movie Solo: A Star Wars Movie. I thought Emilia Clarke and Paul Bettany did an amazing job with their roles, but the biggest kudos definitely go to Donald Glover’s portrayal of Lando Calrissian. He nailed the role down to a T.
I have been fangirling a lot over Donald Glover, and not because of his excellent portrayal of Lando in the Solo movie, but his music gives one a LOT to think over. All the subliminal messages, especially in his latest music video for This is America.
BONUS: Watch the music video for some very weird faces he makes!
I will be seeing Kaiser Chiefs in August and I am really looking forward to it! I have been a fan since I was in secondary school (high school for Americans), so that’s over 10 years. I’ve been listening to their music in my car on my way to work.
I even watched The Voice UK just to see frontman Ricky Wilson (center) be a judge between 2014 and 2016.
My biggest highlight in May has to be when I spoke about Mental Health Awareness Month 2018. I got some great traffic and feedback on that post, and it really kept me going for the rest of the month.
